About the Artist

Jason M.C. Thompson is an illustrator, sculptor, comic artist, and designer out of Kansas City. He specializes in creature and character design as well as comic art and storytelling through images. He enjoys following where the materials lead him in mixed media pieces.

Jason has a BFA in Illustration from the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design (MIAD). He also has over 18 years of experience in sculpture. Using a combination of polymer clay and recycled materials, he creates dioramic sculptures that show fantastical creatures and where they reside.
